PSA’s effort to return to the U.S. market after a nearly 30-year absence is going very slowly, but perhaps not as slowly as it lets on. The team PSA has assembled in the U.S. is not yet considering products or dealer networks, it is working out a long-term mobility strategy that could begin with PSA setting up finance operations long before it sells any of its own vehicles to the U.S. What’s interesting is that PSA is using the U.S. as a test bed for the mobility industry of the future, which could involve several key acquisitions for PSA in the mobility realm.
