Toyota’s competitors throughout the world are trying to get a fix on just how much the Japanese juggernaut is altering its global strategy — and in which direction is it headed.
CEO Akio Toyoda has done an 180-degree change on electric vehicles and, after two straight quarterly losses (the first time that has happened in two decades), appears to be ready to make further changes in the way the Toyota is being managed – and how it designs and develops cars.
